Webアプリから通知するAPI、W3Cワーキンググループを発足

W3Cは新しくWeb通知に関するAPIを既定するためのグループWeb Notification Working Groupを発足させた。通知はユーザに必ずしも確認を求めずに情報を提供するもので、Mac OS XのGrowlやLinuxのNotifyOSDなどが代表的存在。Windowsにはすでに通知用のAPIが用意されている。
