SCBA Training for our new FF Trainees VCFD Academy 61 performed SCBA training this week. SCBA, or self-contained breathing apparatus, are worn by firefighters in hazardous environments like a house fire. The training took place inside our "confidence course," which was built in 2015 by student carpenters of the Olathe School District Construction Trades Program.
